The aim of ‘The Swedish Sign Language Dictionary’ is to eventually publish as complete a sign‑language dictionary as possible.

The documentation of the Swedish sign‑language vocabulary is carried out within the lexicography unit at the Department of Sign Language, Department of Linguistics, Stockholm University. Approximately 24,500 signs have been recorded, of which 21,728 have been published in the dictionary.
